1. Purpose and Scope

This Returns & Refunds Policy governs the conditions under which students, members, or purchasers may cancel a membership, request a refund, or return eligible goods or services provided by Juneteenth Intercontinental University (JIU) and its affiliated entities, including the JIU Foundation / Fondation UIJ.

La présente politique de retour et de remboursement définit les conditions dans lesquelles les étudiants, membres ou acheteurs peuvent annuler une adhésion, demander un remboursement ou retourner des biens ou services admissibles fournis par l'Université Intercontinentale Juneteenth (UIJ) et ses entités affiliées, y compris la JIU Foundation / Fondation UIJ.

2. Right of Cancellation (Memberships and Services)

In accordance with applicable consumer protection and higher education regulations, you are entitled to cancel your membership or eligible service within thirty (30) calendar days, without providing any reason.

The cancellation period expires 30 days from the date of subscription, or from the date on which access to the service is first provided.

To exercise your right of cancellation, you must notify the University of your decision through a clear written statement.

Conformément aux lois applicables en matière de protection du consommateur et d’enseignement supérieur, vous avez le droit d’annuler votre adhésion ou un service admissible dans un délai de trente (30) jours civils, sans avoir à justifier votre décision.

Le délai d’annulation expire 30 jours après la date de souscription, ou à compter de la date à laquelle l’accès au service est fourni.

Pour exercer votre droit d’annulation, vous devez informer l’Université de votre décision par une déclaration écrite claire.

3. Refund Processing

English

Approved refunds will be issued within thirty (30) days from the date the University reviews and accepts the cancellation or return request.

Refunds will be processed using the same method of payment used for the original transaction. No administrative or processing fees will be charged for eligible refunds.

Les remboursements approuvés seront effectués dans un délai de trente (30) jours à compter de la date d’examen et d’acceptation de la demande par l’Université.

Les remboursements seront effectués selon le moyen de paiement initial, sans frais administratifs ou de traitement, lorsque les conditions sont respectées.

4. Conditions for Returns (Goods and Materials)

English

To be eligible for a return, all of the following conditions must be met:

• The goods or services were purchased within the last 30 days

• Any downloaded or digital materials have been permanently deleted from all devices and storage systems

• The item is returned in its original condition, where applicable

• Les biens ou services ont été achetés au cours des 30 derniers jours

• Tous les documents numériques téléchargés ont été définitivement supprimés de tous les appareils et systèmes de stockage

5. Non-Returnable Goods and Services

English

The following goods and services are not eligible for return or refund:

• Customized or personalized goods or services

• Goods that are, by their nature, not suitable for return or that deteriorate rapidly

• Goods unsealed after delivery that cannot be returned for health or hygiene reasons

• Goods that, after delivery, are inseparably mixed with other items

• Educational services already fully delivered or substantially consumed

The University reserves the right to refuse any return or refund request that does not comply with this policy.

• Les biens ou services personnalisés ou faits sur mesure

• Les biens qui, par leur nature, ne peuvent être retournés ou se détériorent rapidement

• Les biens descellés après livraison pour des raisons de santé ou d’hygiène

• Les biens qui, après livraison, sont indissociablement mélangés à d’autres articles

• Les services éducatifs déjà entièrement ou substantiellement fournis

L’Université se réserve le droit de refuser toute demande ne respectant pas la présente politique.

6. Return of Physical Goods

English

The purchaser is responsible for the cost and risk associated with returning physical goods.

The University is not responsible for items damaged or lost during return shipment. An insured and trackable shipping method is strongly recommended. Refunds will not be issued without receipt of the returned goods or verified proof of delivery.

L’Université ne peut être tenue responsable des articles perdus ou endommagés lors du retour. Il est fortement recommandé d’utiliser un service d’expédition assuré et traçable. Aucun remboursement ne sera accordé sans réception confirmée ou preuve de livraison.

7. Gifts

English

If an item was marked as a gift and shipped directly to the recipient, a gift credit equal to the value of the returned item will be issued upon receipt.

If the item was not designated as a gift, or was shipped to the purchaser, the refund will be issued to the original purchaser.

Si un article a été identifié comme cadeau et expédié directement au destinataire, un crédit-cadeau correspondant à la valeur du retour sera émis après réception.

Si l’article n’a pas été désigné comme cadeau, le remboursement sera effectué au payeur initial.
